Caelitus mihi vires” - My strength is from heaven. A friend of the ministry recently brought this Latin phrase to our attention, and it nicely sums up why we are able to persevere through good times and bad. In this newsletter, we’re going to share with you some of the blessings that heaven has bestowed upon Hard as Nails over the last few months.     Catholic Schools Week on the Great Plains During Catholic Schools Week in late January, Justin traveled to the Diocese of Bismarck, ND to shake up the youth on the Great Plains! His trip included parish and school events, as well as an event at an Indian reservation. The people on the reservation are plagued by poverty and a variety of social ills and desperately need to hear the Good News. It was an honor and a privilege to bring the ministry to them and to others in the Bismarck Diocese. Over the last few months, Justin also traveled to Illinois, New Mexico, Indiana, New York, New Jersey, Minnesota, California and Ohio, where he gave an uplifting talk to the Cincinnati Bearcats football team on November 25th.   Prayer Warriors Fighting for Jesus In December, the Hard as Nails “Prayer Warriors” started praying for people who make prayer requests, either through our new Prayer App or online. The prayer sessions take place every night at 9:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time) on our Facebook page. If you have a prayer request, please don’t hesitate to post it on www.hanm.org or through our Hard as Nails Prayer App, which you can download from the Apple Store. Also, feel free to join the Prayer Warriors every night as we pray for others.   New Team Members We welcomed two new members, Morgan Agia and Ron Jorgenson, to the Hard as Nails team in January. Morgan is working with us as an intern until May to help reach more people by arranging events in key areas we have not yet penetrated. A resident of Reading, PA, she is a student at Ithaca College and has taken a semester off to work from our office in Syracuse. Ron Jorgenson from Chicago, IL also joined the team to help us structure and maximize our events outreach. The owner of a roofing company, Ron prayerfully decided to help the ministry by donating his time, effort and monetary resources. His wife and six kids have also volunteered to help the ministry from Ron’s home office. Ron is currently working side by side with Morgan and Dan Downes, our Booking Manager, to reorganize the way we set up events and to establish a new, more efficient and productive event-planning system. We are blessed to have them both on board with us, and we invite other people of all ages to use their talents to help our ministry.   Celebrating 10 Amazing Years The ministry is making plans to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a gala dinner event in New Jersey in November. We are blessed to have been able to touch so many lives over these past 10 years, and we look forward to touching many more in the years to come.
